Families on the Grow Progressive Dinner

Jewels of Hope available for Valentine's Gift Giving

Asbury in Mission has received a new shipment of jewelry from Jewels of Hope which will be available in the Community Room between services on Sunday, February 9th. This jewelry is made by youth who have lost parents to AIDS and it provides income to meet their family's basic needs. Share Christ's love twice by the gift of Jewels of Hope jewelry on Valentine's Day and providing support for families in South Africa. 

Chili Cook-Off Judges Chosen

Celebrity judges have been chosen for the 6th Annual Chili Cookoff on March 15th from 5:00 to 8:00pm.  They are Darryl Dawkins, NBA retired; Jaccii Farris, reporter for WFMZ; Glenn 'Glennbo' Gross, pitmaster at Fat Jacks BBQ; and Bill White, columinst for the Morning Call.  We're also pleased to announce that our church neighbor, Jordan UCC will be teaming with us at this Cookoff along with the King's Riders (Christian motorcycle club) and the Blue Knights (law enforcement motorcycle cl ...

Dine to benefit CareNet

Another "Dine to Donate" event to benefit CareNet will be held on Wednesday, Feb 5th at Chick-fil-a at both their LV Mall and Trexlertown sites. You can find tickets for the Mall or a flyer for Trexlertown, that are needed to dine, at the upstairs and downstairs welcome desks and in the Parlor. Thanks for your support of CareNet.

Sunday Evening Dig Deep Bible Study resumes Jan. 26

Sunday evening's Bible Study, Dig Deep, will be studying Spiritual Disciplines such as guidance and listening, servant hood, Scripture study, meditation and more. Wednesday Morning Bible Study resumes

Rev Dr. Glenn Asquith will begin leading the Wednesday morning bible study (10:00 in room 108) on Wednesday January 15, 2014.  It will not meet on the first Wednesdays of each month. There will be NO evening bible study.  For more information, call the church office at 610-398-2577.

 

900 Gift Bags packed for Ramos Students

The week before Christmas, Asbury members helped pack 900 gift bags for Ramos students.  Iceatra Jenkins of the Ramos PTA provided this note of thanks for Asbury's partnership with Ramos.  "It was a joy to meet you and the members of your congregation. Pancake Breakfast to benefit Ramos School

Ramos Elementary School is holding a pancake breakfast from 8:00am to 10:00am on Saturday January 11th at Applebee's on Cedar Crest (near the Target) to raise funds for school programs.  For $5.00 you'll enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast of pancakes, sausage and beverage and Ramos will receive $2.50 for each meal served.  Asbury has formed a partnership with this ASD school to assist teachers in the classroom, to donate books and to provide school supplies.  Come out on the 11th to enj ...

A Great Joy this Christmas

Another great joy this Christmas.  Over $6,000 was raised this Advent through Gifts from the Heart as you gave gifts to our mission partners.  From center city Allentown to Kathmandu your gifts are making a difference in people's lives.  Thank you, Asbury, for being a church in mission sharing Christ's love.
