Volunteers Needed to Serve Christmas Dinner - Sat 12/15/18

Volunteers are needed by Everlasting Life Ministries to help with a Christmas Dinner on Saturday, 12/15/18, at Bethany E. C. Church, 224 N. 6th St., Allentown. Needed are servers, fresh or frozen turkeys, baked goods, fresh fruit, canned goods, paper products, and/or cash donations. If you can help, please call their office (610-776-4009) for drop-off times or to volunteer.

2018 Christmas Eve offering at Asbury

For the past 6 years, Asbury Church has faithfully donated a portion of our Christmas Eve offering to support a ministry project of one of our “Asbury in Mission” (AIM) partners. This year, the committee has selected Youth PEACE Ministries; a ministry of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church’s Camping and Retreat Ministry Board. International Studies Scholarship

The International Studies Scholarship is a $3,000 scholarship awarded by Asbury Church. The objective of this scholarship is to provide opportunities for students to study internationally and to develop an appreciation for other cultures and other countries. The scholarship is available for juniors, seniors, or graduates students who will be studying outside of the United States for a full semester. Click here for specific requirements. AIM "Jewels of Hope" Sale 2018

Asbury in Mission (AIM) will be selling the remaining jewelry in stock from "Jewels of Hope", just in time for Christmas! A table will be set up in the Community Room before and after the 9:30 am Contemporary Worship Service, every Sunday of Advent (December  2, 9, 16, & 23, 2018) or until all of the jewelry is sold. UMW Collection - December 2018

To complete our stocking project for the children and their siblings at the Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital this Christmas, Asbury’s UMW is collecting small cars & card games for ages 2-4 and 5-8; word search, puzzle or Mad Libs books; and small boxed puzzles or card games for tween/teens 9 & up. Mission Brunch - Sun 12/9/18

Asbury in Mission and New Beginnings Haitian Church are teaming up to help raise funds for their mission trip to Haiti. Please join us in the Wesley Center on Sunday December 9, 2018 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm for a delicious brunch for a wonderful cause. One hundred percent of you freewill donations will go to support this mission trip.

2018 Charge Conference - Sat 12/1/18

Asbury’s 2018 Charge Conference is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, 12/1/18, in the Sanctuary. For those who are not familiar with what a Charge Conference is, it is an annual meeting with our District Superintendent to review and evaluate the total mission and ministry of the church, receive reports, and adopt objectives and goals. All interested individuals are welcome to attend.

We need a lot of volunteer help in order to make Asbury a warm and welcoming place on Christmas Eve!
