Volunteers Needed for Tremont Flood Relief Project

The village of Tremont, PA was flooded during a torrential storm this past July causing record flooding and damaging over 70 homes next to a normally small stream. The Eastern PA Conference of the United Methodist Church has made an appeal for volunteers to assist in re-building heavily damaged homes. Sarah Circle Meeting - Wed 10/17/18

Sarah Circle will meet at 7PM in room 217 on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. We will be discussing our new study book, Friendship: Sisters for a Journey by Jessie Seneca. Kim Bringhurst will be leading our discussion of chapters 1 & 2. Also, please bring your items for the Bazaar Silent Auction baskets that we are putting together. All women are cordially invited to join us! Our meetings usually disperse around 9PM.

Blood Drive - Sun 10/28/18

Asbury’s Health Ministry has arranged for The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile to be at Asbury Church on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 8:30am thru 1pm outside the Wesley Center. We encourage families to give together in the spirit of giving to others. Teens can donate blood starting at age 17. Seniors can donate into their 90s if healthy. Medications are reviewed prior to donation. One pint of blood can save three lives! Be sure to sign up in the Community Room on Sunday mornings between services ...

Change-for-Change October 2018: Designated for Flood Relief

Asbury in Mission (AIM), the mission committee at Asbury Church, has a goal of every member being involved in missions. One small, yet meaningful way to participate is by placing your loose change in the Change-for-Change containers in the rear of the sanctuary each week. Change-for-Change was initiated at Asbury in 2001 at the suggestion of one of our AIM members as a means of supporting our mission partners and highlighting their work. New Adult Sunday School Class: Scheduled Topics for Fall 2018

All are welcome to join the recently formed new Adult Sunday School class. This class is geared toward individuals who cannot make a weekly commitment and is open to all. Feel free to drop in when your schedule permits. Topics vary according to whoever volunteers to lead that morning. Sometimes we discuss the sermon from the previous week. Camp Innabah Fall Classic 5 Mile Trail Run and 2 Mile Hike - Sat 10/6/18

On Saturday, October 6, 2018 Camp Innabah in Spring City, PA will host its annual Fall Classic 5 Mile Trail Run and 2 Mile Hike. The event starts at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. There will be many great prizes from sponsors and they will of course have a wonderful pancake breakfast for everyone as well. Asbury is excited to announce that we will be having a fall session of Starting Point beginning October 11, 2018. Starting Point is an 8-week gathering where your questions about God turn into a conversation about faith. In a Starting Point group, you can discuss your doubts and explore the trickiest topics of faith, free from pressure and judgment. Worship Praise Band's Winter Concert - Fri 11/30/18

Asbury's Worship Praise Band will hold their annual Winter Concert on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 7 PM in the Sanctuary. Please join us for a concert of holiday favorites old and new. Tickets will be available for purchase in the Community Room between services on Sundays November 11, 18, 25. Tickets are $5 if purchased early or $7 the night of the event (children under 16 are free).

Dementia Seminar – Sat 10/27/18

Asbury’s Keep-In-Touch (KIT) Team is providing a free seminar on memory loss with guest speaker Kelly (Hentz) Stephenson on Saturday, October 27, 2018. The three (3) hour program will begin at 9:00 AM. Local aging-in-place vendors, agencies and providers will have tables in the Community Room and share their knowledge and programs with participants.
