2019 Summer Camp Information

Summer is almost here and that means it is time to start exploring the opportunities for kids to attend camp. Christian summer camps are important for kids to attend in order to gain crucial social skills, obtain lasting memories, and deepen their faith in Jesus Christ. Christian camps offer daily faith based activities, such as Bible study and prayer time, while combining that with a variety of unique activities to reach as many participants as possible. The Rev. Donna Jones, one of Asbury’s long-time friends and mission partners, will visit Asbury on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Rev. Donna was formerly pastor of Cookman United Methodist Church in North Philadelphia and now directs Emerging Ministries which provides alternative learning programs for city youth. Compassion Sunday - 4/7/19

On Sunday, April 7, 2019, Asbury will partner with Compassion International to find sponsors for children living in poverty around the world. Compassion International will have an information table set up in the morning at Asbury (behind the Sanctuary by the Next Steps station) where you will be able to view information on children from various nations who live in poverty. If you decide to sponsor a child, the cost will be $38 per month and it's paid to Compassion International. Your sponsorship will help ...

Easter Flowers 2019

Decorating the Church with Palms and assorted spring flowers during the Easter season is a tradition here at Asbury. You are invited to make a contribution or dedicate a flower for the Sanctuary to help celebrate Easter. They may be picked up after the 11:00 a.m. worship service on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers: Small Group Bible Study Begins 4/29/19

Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers is offering confidential support for women who have had abortions. A small group Bible study will begin on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 3:30pm – 5:30pm in Bright Hope’s Bethlehem Center located at 541 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Asbury Men's Social Group Tour - Thurs 3/21/19

On Thursday, March 21, 2019 Asbury’s Men's group will meet in the lower parking lot of Asbury Church at 9:00 AM. We will carpool to the Parkland Restaurant for breakfast and from there go to the America on Wheels Museum to visit the "Fabulous Fins of the 50’s & 60’s ~ A Jet Age of Automobile Design" exhibit. Drop-in Disciples Sunday School Class Lenten Study Begins 3/10/19

The Drop-in Disciples Sunday School class will be doing a Lenten Bible study beginning March 10, 2019 at 9:30 AM in the Aldersgate Room. "Great Things He Has Done" is a series designed to guide participants to a deeper understanding of scripture by integrating group discussion with personal reflection. The lessons consist of a video presentation, prayer, and a hymn, with discussion to follow. This is an in-class presentation with no homework or preparation required. Come join us during Lent.& ...
