Please join us Sunday, February 1st at the 9:30am service in the Sanctuary and 10:45am at Open Door in the Wesley Center.
Youth Sundays are a chance for the youth to plan, prepare, and completely lead worship. Each year a different theme is selected – this year it is “Faithfulness” – and each Youth Sunday is amazingly rewarding for the youth as well as the congregation.
While we try to incorporate youth and children in weekly worship throughout the year, this is a special opportunity for the youth to share their faith in front of the congregation. When youth are involved in leading worship, the congregation sees the covenant affirmed. When other members of the congregation see teenagers owning the faith and giving back to the body of Christ, they realize that young people are real contributors to the life of the church. Often this realization leads to a fuller involvement of youth, not only in “regular” worship services, but also in other areas of ministry.
A Special Note From Children’s Ministries:
Please join us as we support Youth Sunday! Sunday, February 1st, all children in 1st-5th grades should attend the 9:30am worship service with their parents. This is a great opportunity for our children to experience worship in the Sanctuary as well as support the youth who are participating. All children ages 3 years-old through Kindergarten should attend Sunday School in Room 218. Staffed child care is available for infants through 2 year-olds in Room 223.
