“Grieving Mindfully” Grief Support Group: Begins Thursday, November 30
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM, in the Aldersgate Room
The passages through our loss are personal journeys. They are never the same for any two people and they are as unique as your life and your relationships. Although loss and bereavement are an inevitable part of life, how you approach this fact can make the difference.
Beginning the week after Thanksgiving, on Thursday, November, 30, our “Grieving Mindfully” grief support group will meet for ten weeks and will journey together with the help of Dr. Sameet M. Kumar’s book “Grieving Mindfully”.
Dr. Kumar is a bestselling author and psychologist at the Memorial Healthcare System Cancer Institute in South Broward, Florida. He describes in his book how a mindful approach to dealing with grief can help make the difference between meaningless pain and the manifestation of understanding and wisdom. Through discovery and learning to walk the mindful path of their griefs and losses, participants will find that they are capable of transforming and healing the losses they carry and find the spiritual and emotional resilience needed to move through challenging times.
Please reserve your place in our exploration of mindfulness and grief today by contacting Bill Arnold, Director of Congregational Care, at
or 610-217-1070 or leave him a message through the church office. Participants who wish to purchase a copy of the book “Grieving Mindfully” will find copies available through online distributors at a cost of $17.95. Please note: this support group will be a closed group limited to the first twelve registrants.
