Change-for-Change January 2019: Designated for Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley

Asbury In Mission (AIM), the Mission Committee of Asbury Church, has a goal of every member being involved in missions. One small, yet meaningful way to participate is by placing your loose change in the Change For Change (CFC) containers in the rear of the Sanctuary or the Worship Center each week. For January 2019, Change For Change is designated for Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley, a safe place where victims of abuse and their children can find refuge. 2018 Christmas Eve offering at Asbury

For the past 6 years, Asbury Church has faithfully donated a portion of our Christmas Eve offering to support a ministry project of one of our “Asbury in Mission” (AIM) partners. This year, the committee has selected Youth PEACE Ministries; a ministry of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church’s Camping and Retreat Ministry Board. AIM "Jewels of Hope" Sale 2018

Asbury in Mission (AIM) will be selling the remaining jewelry in stock from "Jewels of Hope", just in time for Christmas! A table will be set up in the Community Room before and after the 9:30 am Contemporary Worship Service, every Sunday of Advent (December  2, 9, 16, & 23, 2018) or until all of the jewelry is sold. UMW Collection - December 2018

To complete our stocking project for the children and their siblings at the Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital this Christmas, Asbury’s UMW is collecting small cars & card games for ages 2-4 and 5-8; word search, puzzle or Mad Libs books; and small boxed puzzles or card games for tween/teens 9 & up. Mission Brunch - Sun 12/9/18

Asbury in Mission and New Beginnings Haitian Church are teaming up to help raise funds for their mission trip to Haiti. Please join us in the Wesley Center on Sunday December 9, 2018 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm for a delicious brunch for a wonderful cause. One hundred percent of you freewill donations will go to support this mission trip.


Barrels of Love for Liberia - Sat 11/17/18

This Christmas, Asbury Church will once again be participating in Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship! Angel Tree is a national program that links church families with children in local communities who have an incarcerated parent. The purpose of this program is to provide a gift and a memory to a child who might otherwise not receive anything from their parent during the holiday season. UMW Collection - November 2018

For the month of November, Asbury’s UMW would like to ask for donations for a special project we are putting together for the Lehigh Valley Children's Hospital for Christmas this year. We are collecting colored pencils, crayons, bubbles, and Play-Doh to fill stockings for the children and siblings during this holiday season.
