Help Make Crafts for UMW Bazaar - Wednesdays in October

Crafters of Asbury! Help is needed to make crafts for this year's UMW Bazaar scheduled for November 5th. We will meet Wednesdays in October at Dee Reidy's house to assemble handmade items and to share your ideas. Come when you can starting at 9 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. on 10/5, 10/12, 10/19 and 10/26. Laity Sunday - 10/16

Laity Sunday is October 16th! Laity Sunday is a special Sunday established by the General Conference of the United Methodist Church and focuses on the celebration of the ministry of all lay Christians. Seniors (55+) Retreat at Pocono Plateau - 10/4 thru 10/7

Charge Conference - 10/5

There is a Charge Conference scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Asbury in Rm 217. For those who are not familiar with what a Charge Conference is, it is an annual meeting with Dr. Cotto, our District Superintendent, to review and evaluate the total mission and ministry of the church, receive reports, and adopt objectives and goals.

Sarah Circle's Fall Meetings Begin Wed 9/21

The Gathering Sunday School Class Begins Sun 9/18

This fall, The Gathering Sunday school class, which meets in Aldersgate on Sundays at 9:30, will be studying John Ortberg's book, Soul Keeping. The subtitle, "Caring for the most important part of you" gives a glimpse into the depth of Ortberg's writing. We will start the study on September 18th, you are welcome to join us.

Join our Sound & Light Ministry

UMW September Collection

For September, Asbury’s UMW is collecting specific items for health kits to be distributed by UMCOR when needed. Donations can be placed in the marked bin by the downstairs elevator under the UMW bulletin board. The kits will be assembled by the congregation on Sunday, October 16th, between services for a special congregation outreach service project.
