UMW Offers Scholarships

The Asbury United Methodist Women are pleased to be able to offer the Clara D. Koch Student Scholarships for college again for the 2016-2017 academic year. This is the 26th year that the scholarships have been made possible by the hard work and generosity of Asbury members and friends at the annual UMW Bazaar. Rev. Donna Jones from Emerging Ministries to visit Asbury – 2/21

Asbury long-term mission partner, Rev. Donna Jones, will be visiting Asbury Church on Sunday, February 21st to talk with us about the impact of her mission, Emerging Ministries, on the youth of North Philly. Rev. Jones, formerly pastor of Cookman UMC, runs an alternative school for marginalized teens. Stop by room 217 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on February 21st to hear her stories and learn how you can support this important ministry.

Lent Small Group Book Studies Begin 2/14

This Lent, experience a season of spiritual growth by joining a six-week small group book study. Each group will study Adam Hamilton’s book John: The Gospel of Light and Life. Blood Drive - Sun 3/6

The Parish Nurse Health Ministry has arranged for The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile to be at Asbury Church on Sunday, March 6th 8:30 AM to 1 PM outside the Wesley Center. We encourage families to give together in the spirit of giving to others. Teens can give blood starting at age 17. There will be a table set up in the community room starting February 14th to sign up. One pint of blood can save three lives! Be sure to sign up!
