Join the Asbury Email Prayer Chain and lift up those prayer requests received by Asbury

Would you like to be part of the Asbury Email Prayer Chain? The prayer requests read in church on Sunday morning are emailed to you on Monday so you can pray for these prayer requests during the week. Additional prayer requests submitted to the office during the week are also emailed for prayer. Join us in praying for the United Methodist Church.  Lift up Asbury and all United Methodist Churches in a spirit of WORSHIP from October 5 – November 2.  Prayer guides are available at the Welcome desks and online.

"Asbury Spirit" CROP Walk Team collecting for Food Bank

CROP Hunger Walk is collecting Cereal, Canned Soup, Canned Fruits and Canned Vegetables for the Allentown Ecumenical Food Bank. Walkers and congregations bring these items the day of the walk and have collected and extra 500 lbs of food each year! Sunday Morning Child Care Provider Needed

Asbury is seeking a patient, loving individual to provide child care in our two year-old classroom from 9:15-10:45am on Sunday mornings. This individual should be willing to obtain Child Abuse and Criminal background clearances and participate in the Safe Sanctuaries training.  These are paid positions. Wire Hangers and Brown Grocery Bags needed for upcoming UMW Bazaar

Once again the Used Clothing section of the upcoming UMW Bazaar is requesting donations of wire hangers.  Plastic hangers cannot be recycled so wire only please.  In addition, the Book Room, Attic Treasurers and Used Clothing rooms would appreciate donations of brown grocery bags.  A large box has been placed in the lower elevator lobby for the hangers and bags.  Please add your donations before Monday Nov. 3 when our sorting begins.  Thank you for your help.

Help needed for 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat

Asbury will host its 3rd annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday October 25th from 6:00-8:00.  Trunk or Treat is an event that offers the opportunity to scare or amuse while parading from car trunk ot car trunk collecting candy.  It will also feature a free photo booth, food, music and more.    If you would like to host a trunk, donate candy, food or money, or help at the event, please sign up in the community room or outside of the Wesley Center or e-mail Nate Diffenbaugh at ...

Families on the Grow Cookout and Campfire

Families on the Grow will host a campfire and cookout in the Asbury grove on Saturday September 27th at 5:00 pm.  Each family should bring a main course, dessert, drink or side dish to share.  For more information or to RSVP, contact Paul Wood at or 610-437-1862. 

Have basic questions about Christianity?

Starting on Wednesday October 8th, Asbury will offer a 10 week Alpha course which covers the basics of Christianity.  It answers questions like Who is Jesus and Why did he Die?  Each Wednesday the group will meet at 6:00 in the Wesley Center to share a meal together, and then meet in room 217 to listen to a talk about on how Christianity approaches the question at hand and for group disucssion of the question.  Alpha is for adults of all ages and backgrounds.  For more informat ...

Looking for a meaningful service opportunity with a low time commitment?

35 years!! That's how long the Allentown CROP Hunger Walk has been raising money to fight hunger.
