Sunday, February 1st is Youth Sunday

Please join us Sunday, February 1st at the 9:30am service in the Sanctuary and 10:45am at Open Door in the Wesley Center. Youth Sundays are a chance for the youth to plan, prepare, and completely lead worship. Each year a different theme is selected – this year it is “Faithfulness” – and each Youth Sunday is amazingly rewarding for the youth as well as the congregation. New Bible Study focusing on Elijah – Begins Sun 2/8

8-session Bible Study on Elijah will begin Sunday Feb. 8 and then meet on alternate Sundays from 7-8:30 pm in Room 106. Ministry Fair – Sun 2/8

On February 8th in conjunction with the mission brunch, many of Asbury's small groups will have representatives available in fellowship hall to share information about their group’s ministry and how you can get involved. If you are looking for another way to get involved or a place to further explore your faith please join us and see what group or groups may be right for you.

Jewels of Hope Valentine Sale

Stop by the Community Room on February 1 and February 8 before and after the 9:30 service to find that perfect Valentine's Day gift from the beautiful selection of Jewels of Hope (jewelry made by AIDS orphans in South Africa). Income from the sale of the jewelry helps these young people provide for basic needs for their families.

Join us for our February Mission Brunch – Sun 2/8

Join us for our February Mission Brunch on the 8th from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm in Fellowship Hall. Proceeds from this month's brunch will help provide camping scholarships for youth from La Trinidad United Methodist Church. Prayer Shawl Circle Meeting - Tues 1/20

Volunteers needed for pickup and delivery of produce to Salem Food Pantry

The food pantry ministry team is looking for a few volunteers to pickup and deliver fresh produce to the Salem Food Pantry on an occasional Friday morning. This opportunity to serve God takes only about an hour and half of your time. The investment of time is little, the rewards are great. Due to the size and amount of produce it is best if you have a van or larger vehicle, but it is not necessary. Thank you for all the Christmas Outreach support

A big thank you to all those who donated or adopted families for Christmas Outreach last month. Nineteen families and eleven individuals were reached this holiday season and all were most appreciative for the support. 

We are looking for an individual or group to coordinate this program for the future as we will no longer be leading this effort. Please contact Marc (484 788-4828), or Betsy (610 737-1114) Dobbs if you are interested in organizing this program.

Garden of Eatin' (Wednesday Night Dinners) Resumes - Wed 1/14

Garden of Eatin' is a Wednesday evening dinner at Asbury in the Wesley Center from 5:30 to 7 PM. Anyone is invited to attend, but we ask that you RSVP so that we know how many people to expect. There is not a fixed price for the meals, but donations are accepted to offset the food costs. Meals are prepared by volunteers each week.
