Asbury Work Day - Sat 5/9

Join us for Asbury’s Work Day on Saturday, May 9, 8am – 12 noon....rain or shine. 

Please Bring: work gloves, rakes, shovels, weeding tools, hand trimmers, hedge trimmers, loping shears and a fun willing Asbury spirit!

Special music planned for April 26 worship services

Come worship with us at the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services on Sunday, April 26!  Asbury's Choir and the Jubilation Ringers will be joining together to praise God with hymns and anthems. By combining our bells with the voices of the choir and the organ, the congregation will have a chance to enjoy some special musical arrangements and combinations of instruments that may not be heard on a typical Sunday.

3rd Annual Parkland Community Resource Fair - Sat 5/2

Please plan to attend the 3rd Annual Parkland Community Resource Fair to be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Over 90 agencies and local legislators will be available to provide you with information on the many resources that are available in the Lehigh Valley, including healthcare, mental health, transportation, food banks, housing, education, veterans needs, aging, emergency services and many more.  The event is free, family friendly, ...

Wednesday Evening Bible Study Group will be studying 1 John – Starting 4/15

The Wednesday evening Bible study group will start a 5-week study of 1 John. We will meet for 5 weeks from 6:30-8:00pm. The meeting dates are:  4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, and 5/13. All are welcome to attend even if you can only come once.  This study is particularly designed for those who have never studied the Bible before, but all are welcome. Craft Workshops – Wed 4/22 & Wed 4/29

Calling all crafters and craft helpers! There will be a short meeting at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 22 in room 217 followed by a workshop starting about 7 p.m. Come for one or come for both. Cub Scouts Pack 12 Spring Open House – Fri 4/24

All are welcome to attend Cub Scouts Pack 12 Spring Open House on Friday, April 24th at 7:00 PM in Fellowship Hall. It will be a fun Nerf night with a parent meeting regarding Cub Scouts. Boys who are currently in Kindergarten through 4th grade for the 2014-2015 school year are eligible to join. We offer many fun Pack events including camping, sports, rifle & archery plus fun Pack and den activities for the boys and their families. 

Addiction Awareness Sunday - Sun 4/12

Sunday, April 12, 2015 is Addiction Awareness Sunday. There will be special information presented at 9:30 A.M. during the Sunday School hour for both Adults and Youth. At 9:30 A.M. there will be a special time for all Adults in room 217. Dr. Jack Alhadeff will be speaking about how the brain is affected when someone uses alcohol and drugs. Six Week Grief Support Group Starting Sat 4/18

Congregational Care and the Health Ministry will be offering a six week Grief Support Group at Asbury on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM beginning on 4/18 and running through 5/23. If you have lost a loved one in the past year, or suffered any kind of loss in your life, you are VERY welcome to come and support others as well as find support and growth through grief. UMW 2015 Spring Luncheon/Workshop – Sun 4/26
