Grief Support: Preparing For The Holidays - Sat 12/12

Asbury’s Congregational Care & Health Ministry will offer a Grief Support Group on “Preparing for the Holidays After a Loss” Saturday, December 12 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the Aldersgate Room.  If you have lost a loved one, or suffered any kind of loss in your life, you are VERY welcome to come for refreshments and sharing of resources, ideas, and mutual support. AIM will be selling "Jewels of Hope" during Advent

Children’s Ministries Holiday Gift Box Mission Project

Each year, Asbury’s children and their families work together to share the love and joy of Christmas with children in our neighboring communities through the Holiday Gift Box Mission Project. From 11/22 until 12/13, Asbury will be accepting donations of small toys, card games, nerf balls, playdoh, crayons, socks, etc. On 12/14 our 4th & 5th Grade Sunday School Classes will place those donations in wrapped shoe boxes, which will then be delivered to the Sixth Street Shelter and Everlasting Life Min ...

Share your gift of music this Christmas Eve

Young musicians are invited to share their talents by playing during the preludes on Christmas Eve. Youth through Grade 6 will participate at the 3:00 service and youth in Grades 7-12 will participate at the 7:00 service. Contact Carol Lenhart (610-398-1205 or ) before 12/10 to volunteer. Please provide music title, instrument, and exact length of your selection.

Asbury's Youth Ministries Spaghetti Dinner - Sat 12/5

As part of Asbury's Advent Celebration/Hanging of the Greens on Saturday, December 5th enjoy a free-will donation spaghetti dinner run by Asbury Youth Ministries. Dinner is served from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM in the Wesley Center. Donations go towards the high school West Virginia Work Week mission trip.

South Parkland Community Thanksgiving Eve Service at Jordan UCC – Wed 11/25

Everyone is invited to Jordan United Church of Christ on Wednesday, November 25th at 7 PM for the South Parkland Community Thanksgiving Eve Service. Jordan UCC is located at 1837 Church Road in Allentown near the intersection of Walbert Avenue and Route 309. It will be a beautiful service with combined choirs and fellowship time after the service. They are asking for donations of canned goods. Please go to for more information.

“Brewology”: A New Theological Discussion Forum Starts 12/8

Everyone is invited to join Pastor Eric Yeakel at 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month starting Tuesday, December 8th at the Brew Works in Allentown for a new theological discussion forum called “Brewology.” There will be a specific room designated for these gatherings within the restaurant. Pick up your free Advent devotional beginning Sunday, November 22, and read daily to prepare for the celebration of Jesus' birth. Advent devotionals, which are provided by Asbury's Prayer Ministry Team, will be at the Welcome desks and tables outside the sanctuary and Wesley Center.

UMW Christmas Tea - Sun 12/6

Please join us for the UMW Christmas Tea on Sunday, December 6th at 12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.
