UMW 2015 Spring Luncheon/Workshop – Sun 4/26

Please join us for the United Methodist Women's First Annual Spring Luncheon/Workshop.  Come be the "Hands of God!"  We are doing something new this year! We will meet in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, April 26th from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A light lunch with beverages and desserts will be provided. Afterwards, we will be working on two projects:       1. Asbury Church Welcomes Garth Olson as our new Director of Worship

Garth Olson joins the Asbury family from First Presbyterian Church in Boise, Idaho where he served as the Director of Worship Arts. Garth has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music and Business with emphases in Piano/Composition and Finance from the University of Wisconsin. He also has a Certificate in Worship Leadership from St. Stephen’s University in New Brunswick, British Columbia. Garth was born in Hollywood, but raised in a small town in Minnesota. Congratulations to all of the Chili Cookoff winners!!

On Saturday, March 14th Asbury Church opened its doors to the community for another amazing evening of chili tasting and fundraising.  Our mission partner, Ramos Elementary School in Allentown will benefit from the generosity of the 550+ people who came to share in this 7th anniversary event.  Gross proceeds of $7,600 plus UMW donations and the Christmas Eve offering bring us to a total of approximately $12,000 raised for the renovation and expansion of the Ramos playground.  Ramos PTA ...

Sign up now for Cookson Hills, OK Mission Trip – July 18-25

Put God's Love in Action and come to Oklahoma this summer, July 18- 25.  Working together with the Cookson Hills Center and the Cookson UMC, we provide Vacation Bible School fun for the children of the community. We worship, plan and set up together on Sunday, then we'll have G-Force VBS fun Monday thru Thursday. Easter Flowers

Decorating the Church with Palms and assorted Spring flowers during the Easter season is a tradition here at Asbury. You are invited to make a contribution or place a flower in the Sanctuary or Wesley Center that may be picked up after the 11:00 a.m. worship service on Easter morning.
