"Jewels of Hope" Available for Purchase

AIM will be selling “Jewels of Hope” in the Community Room between the 8:30am, 9:30am and 11am services on November 30, December 7, 14, and 21. We will be selling necklaces, bracelets, earrings and key ring. This jewelry makes a special Christmas gift and is always very popular. 

Christmas Ornaments

Christmas ornaments are available in the Community Room for families that have lost a loved one this past year and to help celebrate the life of that person. The Parish Health Ministry invites anyone interested to take one, either for your own use or to give to someone you know who is having a difficult time during the holidays.

Family Christmas Caroling - Sat 12/6

All families are invited to go Christmas caroling at Luthercrest on Saturday, December 6th. We will meet at Asbury by the lower level welcome desk at 2:15 pm. To sign up or for more information, please contact Paul Wood at or 610-437-1862.

Asbury Connection Committee Meeting - 12/3

Asbury Connection Committee Meeting to be held on Wednesday Dec 3 @ 7:30PM at Panera (Tilghman and Cedar Crest).  Join us as we plan activities for our young adults for the second half of the year.  For more information contact Dot Hess 610-391-9212.

Holiday Poinsettias

The display of colorful poinsettias in the Sanctuary and throughout the building during the Christmas season is a tradition here at Asbury. We invite you to be a part of this tradition by making a contribution in honor or memory of a loved one. For more information or to place an order click here.

Evening Bible Study Focusing on the Gospel of John

This Bible study is especially for those who would like an introduction to studying the Bible and anyone who wishes they knew more about the Bible.   We will meet for 6 weeks from January 7 to February 11 from 7:00-8:30 pm and discuss the first 18 chapters of the Gospel of John by doing 3 chapters each week.   We'll meet April 8 to look at chapters 19-21 after the church-wide Lenten study and celebrating Easter. Christmas Outreach

Are you interested in providing gifts for a needy family or individual this holiday season?  Stop by the community room starting Sunday, November 23 and adopt an individual and/or family. We are also in dire need of individuals to assist at the sign up table between services on 11/23, 11/30,  12/7.  It only takes 15 minutes per shift and is a great way to contribute to the outreach program! Home is supposed to be a place where you go to feel safe and secure. Unfortunately, home is where many accidents occur as well. One of the best ways to make sure that your home is safe is to actively inspect each room for potential hazards. Frequent inspections, along with having a plan for what to do in case of an emergency, are your best tools for preventing an accident in your home.

Children's Ministries Holiday Gift Boxes

Please join the Children of Asbury in making Christmas merry for the children associated with the Six Street Shelter in Allentown. Please consider donating an item/s from this list and place it in one of the collection bins located in the Community Room, outside the Wesley Center and in Fellowship Hall at the beginning of Sunday School Nov. 23rd, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7th. Special Prayer Time To Be Held During Advent

For Advent, the first two pews in the front of the sanctuary, both on the left and right side will be reserved for prayer before and after the worship service. Many people are dealing with grief, loss, unsaved loved ones, financial woes, stress, and much more during the Advent season.
