Volunteers Needed for UMW Bazaar Positions

Volunteers are needed for several critical annual UMW Bazaar positions: -A chair/co-chairs are needed for the Attic Treasures area.  Attic Treasures is the flea market/garage/yard sale area of the annual Bazaar.  It is the greatest revenue area of the Bazaar. -A chair/co-chairs are needed for the 2016 Bazaar.  This is a key position for shepherding all of our dedicated volunteers, and key contact the week prior to the annual Bazaar and on the day of the Bazaar - Saturday, 5 NOV 2016. & ...

Launching Into Bible Study Begins Wed 9/14

Launching Into Bible Study will be doing an overview of the most significant passages in the Old Testament every Wednesday night in Room 210 from 6:30-8:00 pm starting on Wednesday, September 14. The study is geared toward adults who have only a basic knowledge, but all are welcome. We will discuss a different passage every night so feel free to come as often as you are able. Dr. Chris Hena's Healthy Women-Healthy Liberia organization held the dedication of their Waterfield Primary Healthcare Center on August 12th in Kakata Liberia. Methodist Pastor Zaza Gawolo from Lofa County represented Asbury Church at this event. We are honored to have the Center's ultrasound room named for Asbury Church. Asbury is seeking a Children’s Handbell Director

Asbury is seeking a Children’s Handbell Director to join our graded program. The preparation and presentation of music for worship services shall be the primary function of the Children’s Bell Choir Director. Fall Kickoff/Rally Day Picnic - Sun 9/18

Our Fall Kickoff/Rally Day picnic is scheduled for Sunday, September 18th. We will meet on the lawn outside the Worship Center after the 11 AM service. (If it rains we will meet in the Wesley Center.) Some wonderful volunteers will be preparing and serving the main course, but your willingness to bring a dessert to share is appreciated! Blood Drive - Sun 10/16

The Parish Nurse Health Ministry has arranged for The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile to be at Asbury Church on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm outside the Wesley Center. We encourage families to give together in the spirit of giving to others. Teens can give blood starting at age 17. One pint of blood can save three lives! Be sure to sign up in the Community Room beginning September 28th!
