Mission Brunch – Sun 5/15

Join us on May 15th in the Wesley Center from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm for another amazing mission brunch.  This month's brunch will support our friends at La Plena Tres as they travel on a mission trip to Cuba.  In addition to our usual suburb mission fare, La Plena Tres will be providing their famous pastelillos!  Enjoy the food & fellowship as we help support a great cause.

5th Annual CROP Hunger BIKE Ride - Sat 6/4

2016 Indoor Yard Sale & Great American Bake Sale - Sat 6/18

Join us for this year’s AIM Indoor Yard Sale on Saturday, June 18th 8am - 1pm in the Wesley Center. Possible items available to purchase include: household items, furniture, books, tapes, CDs, DVDs, toys, games, puzzles, sporting goods, garage tools, small appliances, and much more (NO TVs, computers, or exercise equipment). Parish Nurse Conference Retreat - Thurs 6/9

Asbury UMC will host the annual Parish Nurse Conference Retreat on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm. Pleases join us for this enlightening day in "nourishing the sole/soul." Our keynote speaker is Pastor Eric Yeakel on the topic Breathing Room. The day continues with a Victorian Gastronomic lunch and music along with British Tudor health tips and creative breakout sessions to experience stress reducing techniques. Blood Drive - Sun 6/26

To help with the shortage of blood for the Lehigh Valley area, the Parish Nurse Health Ministry has arranged for The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile to be at Asbury Church again on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm outside the Wesley Center. We encourage families to give together in the spirit of giving to others. Teens can give blood starting at age 17. One pint of blood can save three lives! Be sure to sign up!

Pentecost is the day Christians commemorate the Holy Spirit coming upon the apostles and others assembled in Jerusalem. It marks the beginning of the Christian church and the proclamation of its message throughout the world. UMW May Collection

For the month of May, Asbury’s UMW would like to support a Valley Youth House program called The Synergy Project. A program designed to help runaway, homeless, nomadic street youth age 21 and under, The Synergy Project, began in Bucks County and eventually grew to include the Allentown area. The program offers survival supplies, peer support, informal counseling, information and referral service and assistance to get youth off of the streets, if desired. Go to to lea ...

Annual Baby Bottle Campaign for Care Net Lehigh Valley

Please join us in supporting our annual Baby Bottle Campaign for Care Net of the Lehigh Valley! On Mother's Day, 5/8, baby bottles will be available at the doors of the Sanctuary and the Open Door Service that you may take, fill with spare change, and return on Father's Day, 6/19. All the money goes to Care Net Lehigh Valley, an agency supported by Asbury in Mission. Special time of prayer - Thurs 5/5

The Sanctuary will be open for a time of silent prayer, Thursday, May 5 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. This will be a time to pray for the General Conference which starts the following week, the nation, the upcoming elections, the church, Pennsylvania state/local government, and your own personal requests. The labyrinth will also be available to walk during this time. Let us be a House of Prayer. Come pray on Thursday, May 5.

Asbury supports Meals on Wheels through AIM

Since 1971, Meals on Wheels has delivered over 6.7 million meals in Lehigh County. Each day, 460 homebound seniors and adults with disabilities are provided with nutritious and delicious meals, along with a daily well-being check. 86 volunteers are needed each day, Monday through Friday, as well as individuals to do grocery shopping for clients at other times of the day.
