UMW Communion Breakfast - 3/25

The UMW Communion Breakfast will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 9:30 am in the Parlor. The Communion Breakfast is an opportunity to worship and share communion with other women of Asbury.  A continental breakfast will be offered.  A reservation is not required and there is no cost for the breakfast. Service Opportunities

Multimedia A Multimedia technician is needed for the 11:00 a.m. and summertime 10:30 a.m. services. This is a 1 to 2 service commitment per month and is especially needed during our summer months. Training will be provided. Ash Wednesday Service Wednesday, March 1st 7:00 PM, Sanctuary Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. Lent is the 40-day season leading up to the commemoration of Christ's crucifixion and the celebration of his Resurrection. Dr. Hena will be updating us on her ministry and the new Waterfield Health Clinic in Kakata Liberia. Women's Retreat at Pocono Plateau - 3/17 thru 3/19

A women's retreat will be held at Pocono Plateau on March 17-19, 2017. Join women from Salem and Salem-Berne United Methodist churches to have fellowship, fun, enjoy winter activities and grow spiritually as we walk in God's forgiveness and learn to forgive others. AIM UPDATE: 2016 Change for Change Report

In 2016, Asbury members donated $2,782 to mission projects through Change for Change. Since its inception in 2001, over $62,000 has been donated to local, regional, national and international missions projects through Change for Change. Thank you from the AIM committee to the members of Asbury who so generously donate their spare change each Sunday. A list of all of the missions supported and the amount of money donated since 2001 is located at each of the Welcome Desks.

Alternate Grief Support Group begins 2/27

An alternate Grief Support group called “Caring in a Nutshell” will be offered by Asbury's Parish Nurses & Health Ministry and is open to all members and friends of Asbury United Methodist Church who have suffered a loss. This group will meet for 5 weeks on Monday afternoons beginning Monday, February 27 thru March 27 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Aldersgate Room.
