New Year's Eve Worship - 12/31/17

Please join us for New Year's Eve worship on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 9:30am and 11:00am in the Sanctuary. There will be no Sunday School and no 8:00am or 5:00pm Worship.

"In Loving Memory" Ornaments for families who have lost a loved one in 2017

Asbury’s Parish Nurse Health Ministry annually provides a special Christmas ornament for those who have lost a loved one the past year. There is a table in the Community Room/Parlor for you to select an ornament and give tribute to his/her life. It helps with the journey of grieving and coping without your loved one through the holidays. Friends and family are welcome to take one for others coping with a loss. UMW Collection - December 2017

For the month of December, Asbury’s UMW would like your help collecting items for the Allentown Warming Station. The Allentown Warming Station is an emergency shelter for the homeless run by the Everlasting Life Ministries located at Fountain Park 1000 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. If you can help, we are collecting: NEW hats and gloves for men, women and children. "Project Help" Collection for the Allentown Warming Station

Asbury’s Children & Youth Ministries would love you to join us for “Project Help.” This project will provide assistance to the guests at the Allentown Warming Center (AWC). While the AWC provides shelter to homeless individuals in the community, these folks are dependent on outside agencies for meals. Due to various restrictions, these individuals are usually without food for up to 18 hours each day. The AWC would like to provide snack bags to those who come in each evening to help fil ...

Christmas Eve Volunteers Needed

We need a lot of volunteer help in order to make Asbury a warm and welcoming place on Christmas Eve! If you can be a greeter before one of our six Christmas Eve services, bake cookies, make coffee, help out at the Welcome Desk, or provide assistance in the office or around the Church on Friday 12/22/17, please let us know by filling out a volunteer form available at the Welcome Desks (or click here to print one), or contact Laurie Wallace Theisen in the Church Office ( ).

Altar Flowers For 2018

The sign-up chart to sponsor altar flowers for 2018 is now posted across from Room 218 on the upper level. Please add your name and phone number next to the date that you wish to sponsor and you will be contacted prior to that date for your dedication. The cost for sponsorship is $45.00.

Congregational Chats - Sun 11/19/17

Volunteers needed to help with Blood Pressure Checks

Our blood pressure changes many times throughout each day. Readings only take 3 minutes and the results offer an open window to our health. Children, teens, young and older adults should have their blood pressure taken whenever it is available. Asbury’s Parish Nurses & Health Ministry is seeking a few additional members to help with this valuable screening on Sunday mornings.
