Update on Capital Campaign (November 14, 2019)

November 14, 2019 The Trustees are pleased to share the following Capital Campaign update: The previously communicated work being completed by Frank Cseve General Contractor is nearly complete. The most recent item completed was the replacement of the broken lintels of the Worship Center windows. The contractor has been paid 60% of the cost of the total project, with final 40% payment due after final inspection/walkthrough. "In Loving Memory" Christmas Ornaments

Asbury’s Health Ministry realizes that the grieving journey is not an easy task. As a way to help remember and honor a departed loved one, the Health Ministry provides has special “IN LOVING MEMORY” Christmas ornaments available in the Community Room during the month of December. Visit the Health Ministries’ table between services for more information.

Christmas Poinsettias

The display of colorful poinsettias in the Sanctuary and throughout the building during the Christmas season is a tradition at Asbury. We invite you to be a part of this tradition by ordering a poinsettia in honor or memory of a friend or loved one. Poinsettias may be picked up after the 9:00 p.m. service on Christmas Eve. "Christmas is in the Air" Jubilation Ringers Christmas Concert (12/14)

The Jubilation Ringers and the Pennsylvania Flute Choir will present a Christmas concert 

“Christmas Is in the Air” on Saturday, December 14 (snow date: December 21) at 4:00 pm at 

Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown.   Tickets are $10.

2019 UMW Christmas Tea

The 2019 UMW (United Methodist Women) Christmas Tea is Sunday, December 8th at 12:30 p.m.  A light lunch will be served with beverages and desserts.  Entertainment is being provided by the Lehigh Valley Chorus, a chapter of the Sweet Adelines.  Our mission collection benefits homeless children in Allentown School District.  See the tickets for items needed.  Tickets will be on sale in the Community Room/Parlor between services on November 17th, November 24th, and December 1st.  ...

"Thanks for Giving" Food Drive (Allentown Rescue Mission)

The Thanks for Giving Food Drive to benefit the Allentown Rescue Mission begins November 10th! The items most needed this year are: • juice • cereal • individual snack bags • bleach but any food or supply items will be  accepted with much appreciation. Please return yard signs to the workroom no later than Nov 10 so they can be updated and used next year. Name tags can also be returned to the workroom.

Update on Capital Campaign (November 5, 2019)

November 5, 2019 We're excited to share that improvements to Asbury's building as part of the ongoing Capital Campaign are underway! The first step was a thorough power washing of the building. This work was completed by Frank Cseve General Contractor, who is continuing to work on sealing the building exterior as well as making repairs to the interior of the Sanctuary wall.
