The Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) of Asbury Church is searching for a Worship Leader to lead the contemporary worship bands at the 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. services. This person will also be responsible for the selection of music and overseeing a team of musicians for each service. Parish Nurses & Health Ministry Meeting - Sun 11/6

Parish Nurses & Health Ministry will hold a brief meeting on Sunday Nov 6th at 12:30pm in the Aldersgate Room after church services. We will serve a lite lunch, welcome new members, and welcome Bill Arnold to the Health Ministry. Our goal is to explore suggested ways to promote making our congregation healthier in mind, body, spirit. We need your help for our next Barrels of Love shipment

We are planning our next Barrels of Love shipment of clothing (from the Bazaar) and textbooks to Liberia on November 19th. We are in need of 10 additional barrels at $230 each (includes cost of barrel and shipping). Trunk-or-Treat - Sat 10/22

Join us for our annual Trunk-or-Treat night on Saturday, October 22nd from 6pm to 8pm! This fun event offers the opportunity for children to parade from car trunk to car trunk in the Asbury Church parking lot collecting candy. It is always a fun night and provides a safe environment for the children to go trick-or-treating. Join Asbury's Acolyte Ministry

The Asbury Acolyte Ministry is actively seeking youth 5th-12th grade to join our ministry. Serving as an acolyte is a great way for youth to participate in worship life at Asbury. And the good news is it doesn't take much time. Just one training session and a commitment to serve at select 11:00 services and Holidays when your schedule allows. Bell Choir Rehearsals Wednesdays

Children and Youth Bell Choirs rehearse Wednesdays in Room 206. Beginning, Wednesday, October 26th our groups will meet as follows:

5:45-6:15pm: Children//Faith Ringers (2nd through 6th grade)

6:15-7:00pm: Youth and Young Adult //Apostle Ringers(7th grade and up)

Six Week Grief Support Groups

THURSDAY EVENINGS A six-week Grief Support class will be offered by Bill Arnold, Director of Congregational Care beginning Thursday, October 20th and is open to all members and friends of Asbury United Methodist Church who are seeking to explore and dig deeper into their previous losses. AIM/Longaberger Basket Estate Sale - Sat 10/29

Asbury Church will host a Longaberger Basket Sale on Saturday, October 29 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM outside the Wesley Center at the lower (rear) entrance. All proceeds will benefit Asbury In Mission’s local mission partners located in the Lehigh Valley. This Estate Sale featuring Longaberger Baskets will be held to honor Dot Torrey, a longtime Asbury Church member, who passed away in July after a 28 month battle with cancer.
