Music at Asbury

Music in worship is one of the ways we connect with our Creator.

Consider lending your gifts and talents to one (or more!) of our groups!

ADULT CHOIRS

Chancel Choir

All are welcome to join the Chancel Choir! The Chancel Choir is Asbury's adult choir that leads in the music ministry for the 11:00 am worship service from September through early June. We welcome interested singers with a desire to join our community of voices in singing a varied repertoire from classical church music through gospel and more contemporary choral works. We are welcoming of all singers who want to devote their talents to leading worship through beautiful music!

The Chancel Choir rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings in the Choir Room (room 102 on the lower level) from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and sings most Sundays, meeting at 10:30 a.m. to prepare for the 11:00 a.m. service. In addition, we sing on Christmas Eve and on Maundy Thursday, and sometimes at other occasions through the year.

Anyone wishing to know more can contact Ken Schneider (director ) or Ken Fitch (Chancel Choir president ) and they will be happy to answer all of your questions!

Their concerts around the tri-state area have delighted listeners, and their recordings are well received by the nation's handbell community.
