Wonderful day with Hari, Richal and the kids. Temperature of 85 and sunny and the sky opened up in front of MATCH-HIM with a beautiful view of one of the world’s highest peaks (a rarity). May 1 is a holiday so we got to spend the whole day together with 3 craft stations and ball playing outside. Each adult left with several new best friends. That is what the children called us when not calling us uncle or aunt. Hari and Richal welcomed us to their home with a traditional Nepalese ceremony with presentations from the children to each of us. A necklace of marigolds, silk scarf, and honorary hat. We opened our "suitcase of fun" (thanks Lisa Crowley) that was left from the weekend vbs. a great time was had by all. Richal prepared a traditional Nepali meal that Compton and I ate with our fingers (right hand only). Richal couldn't stop laughing and appreciated our gesture! We were filled with many heart wrenching and yet hopeful stories but mostly left with the children's smiles and laughter and a recognition of a shared lord and master in Jesus Christ. Can you ever top a day like this? . . . Dan Crowley
