Holy Week Service Information

MAUNDY THURSDAY Maundy Thursday is the remembrance of Jesus’ final meal shared with his friends and partners in ministry.  They gathered in a room, shared food, and had fellowship.  Following the meal, they retreated to a garden where Jesus prayed before being arrested.   Asbury’s Maundy Thursday Service is at 7 PM in the Sanctuary.   GOOD FRIDAY Good Friday is the solemn recognition of Jesus’ final hours dwelling among us as flesh and blood.  On a hill overlooking Je ... Craft Work beginning for the UMW Bazaar

ATTENTION ALL CRAFTERS: Work is beginning on the crafts for the UMW Bazaar in November! All interested persons are invited to meet Dee Riedy, the new chairperson, in the Community Room between services on Sunday, April 13. There will be short survey given to assess interest & availability. The first official meeting will be held on Thursday, June 12 at 6:30 PM in Room 106. Learn more about our Cookson Hills Mission Trip

Cookson Hills Mission Team - A short informational Meet and Greet meeting will be held in Room 202 (behind sanctuary) Sunday April 13 after each service. Get information about the trip planned for July 19-26 when we will partner with Cookson UMC in OK to provide VBS and possibly do small home repairs/improvements for impoverished families. 

Help Needed for Community Resource Fair

Asbury Church will host the 2nd Annual Parkland Community Resource Fair on May 3rd from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  The community is invited to come and learn from over 70 agencies covering topics of emergency preparedness, transportation in the Parkland area, programs for seniors and those with disabilities, help with substance abuse, domestic violence, teen pregnancy, healthcare, employment, mentoring and more.  This is a perfect opportunity for members and friends of Asbury Church to serve our neighb ... Asbury Connection to pack care packages

Childcare Worker Needed

Asbury is currently seeking a compassionate, energetic individual to provide child care in the two-year-old classroom at the 9:30am worship service on Sunday mornings. This individual should have availability from 9:15am-10-45am each Sunday and be willing to obtain Child Abuse and Criminal background checks. This is a paid position. Save the Date - CROP Hunger Bike Ride

This years CROP Hunger BIKE Ride will be held Saturday, July 5th,  at Rodale Bike Park. We offer a 10/25/40 Mile route. Registration starts at 8:00, in the parking lot and the ride leaves the park. Help Asbury spruce up our grounds

Help us beautify our church grounds and garden beds on Saturday, 4/5, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Please bring your work gloves, gardening tools, trimmers, lopping shears and wheel barrows. There will be weeds to pull, sticks and leaves to pick up and mulch to be spread. We'll also do some minor pruning. Coffee and donuts will be provided to help get us going.

Longing for warmer temperatures?

Ready to think about warmer temperatures? Consider spending a week in Oklahoma July 20-26 partnering with Cookson Hills Center and the neighboring Cookson UM Church. Volunteers are needed to serve with loving hearts and hands – conducting VBS for children, cooking, or working on small home repair projects. Prayer partners also needed.
