Faith and Fun Alive Children's Sunday School

Our Mission for Children’s Ministry at Asbury is to make disciples of Jesus, and provide a loving, safe environment for the children to grow.
 
Asbury is a “Safe Sanctuary” church. Our Church staff, childcare workers, teachers and aides have their PA State Police Criminal Record Check and PA Child Line Abuse History Certificate. Infants – PreK need to have an adult parent/guardian sign their child in/out of the class. Kindergarten to 2nd grade need to have an adult/guardian drop off and pick up. 3rd-5th grade children can be dismissed and meet a parent/guardian.
 
During the school year, Sunday School classes are available for children infant through 5th grade from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

Childcare
  • Infants/ones are in room 214 with Childcare Staff Supervisors
  • Two’s are in room 223 with Childcare Staff Supervisors. 

All supervisors are background checked according our Safe Sanctuary Policy.  A pager is given to each parent so that our childcare staff can contact them in an emergency. 

 
The 3 yr olds/PreK/Kindergarten is grouped together in a new Rotation Style Format.  Drop off & pick up in room 221.  They will have a large group experience with storytelling, music, and activities.  They will then be split into age appropriate groupings for games/snacks & crafts.  

 

Classes for 1st through 5th grade

1st grade will  meet in room 207 for an interactive time of storytelling and activities.
 
2nd grade will meet in room 209 for an interactive time of storytelling and activities.
 
3rd grade will meet in room 213 for an interactive time of storytelling and activities.  They will also be delving into the scripture and learning how to use their Bibles.  They will receive a Bible as a gift in a special service in April.
 
4th/5th grade are grouped together in a new Large Group/small group format this year.  Drop off in room 205.  They will have a Large group experience using stories, skits, DVD/CD and other activities.  They will split into 2 groups for their small group life application time.  Pick up 4th graders in room 205 and 5th graders in room 210. 
 
All children and their friends are invited to join us each Sunday morning for a fun, interactive time of learning about God and building their relationship with Jesus.
