Hospitality Ministry - Greeters, Welcome Center and Community Room
Striving to make Asbury a warm and welcoming place to worship and grow as disciples, especially on Sunday mornings is the focus of this team. Opportunities will include our traditional greeting at the Parlor entrance of the church and for those who may be first-time or returning guests, we will provide information about Asbury and the UMC at the lower-level entrance. In addition, fellowship will be provided in the Community Room.

We invite "YOU" to join our team.  We appreciate anyone in the medical field, however welcome any interested person to join our mission.  We meet alternate months from September thru May, to plan screenings, educational programs, on-going assessments, referrals, guidance & visitations.  We work closely with the pastors to promote holistic health. We  wish to grow & meet the congregation’s needs. Current contact person is Doris Farrar RN BS 610-395-2749.

Addiction and Recovery Team
This team raises awareness of addiction and provides support and resources to families struggling with addictive behavior and recovery.

Good Shepherds
Good Shepherds identify and minister to Asbury members lapsing in worship and church participation so that they may find a closer relationship with God. Team members are assigned phone calls once a month.

Marriage Builders Team
This team looks to support and encourage those who have entered the covenant of marriage. Through activities such as Date Nights and classes, we help couples connect with God and each other.

Attendance Data Clerks
These individuals are responsible for entering worship attendance into the church computer database on a weekly basis for all three services or worship. Time commitment will depend on how many persons volunteer their time. Data entry may be done at volunteer’s convenience as long as it is completed in time for the next week’s attendance to be entered.

Keep In Touch Ministry
The mission of the Keep in Touch lay ministry team is to provide a ministry of presence for Asbury members who are in hospitals or who are confined to their homes or retirement communities, in order to be a living reminder of God’s love and to help them stay connected with their church community.  Team members can participate in hosptial visitation, home-bound visitation, telephone calls or sending notes.
