Friday found us scurrying to complete as much of the roof as we could, emptying out the 3 rooms as best we could, distributing the Love Offering money, and getting ready for our departures on Saturday.

Much to our chagrin, we were assigned to roofing. THe day was sunny and 84. The roof was low with a low pitch and partly completed.

Sunday brought the rest of the team into Theodore and allowed for a good look at the area. Dave and Pete gave a narrated tour of the area, enlightening the rest of the team of the devistation from the hurricane over a year and a half ago.

Saturday found the Lenhart family and Pete Mattiuzz flying to Theodore via two different routes. Dav and Dot Torrey drove from NC to Theodore and CHarley and Dave G drove to Chattanooga.

Nine people from Asbury will trek to Bayou La Batre, AL on a mission of rebuilding homes damaged as a result of Huricane Katrina. Possible work will include drywalling, finish trim work and roofing. Members will fellowship with other teams there durinrg the week and with the homeowners. Those who were there last year will renew friendships wilth the project coordinator and the homeowners of the homes that were worked on last year.
